Allegations of involvement in yaba trafficking and human trafficking have been raised against SK Asif, a member of the Armed Police Battalion (APBN) posted in Cox’s Bazar.According to local sources, Asif, who is currently serving in the 8th APBN Battalion, is reportedly linked with drug dealers and criminals centered around the Rohingya camps in Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar. It is alleged that he maintains close connections with yaba traffickers and human trafficking syndicates operating in the area.Sources further claim that about six months after his transfer to the 8th APBN Battalion, Asif allegedly built a strong network involved in yaba and human trafficking activities in the Rohingya camp zone. He is also accused of distributing yaba from Cox’s Bazar to different parts of the country, including Dhaka.However, no official confirmation or detailed investigation report has been publicly released yet regarding these allegations.
