Police Week 2026 will begin on Sunday (May 10) with the theme “My Police, My Country, Bangladesh First.” Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will inaugurate the four-day event at Rajarbagh Police Lines in the capital through a colorful annual police parade.The Prime Minister will deliver important directives to police personnel and award medals to distinguished members of the force.In separate messages, President Mohammed Shahabuddin and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman emphasized building a modern, technology-driven police force capable of tackling emerging crimes using AI, data analytics, CCTV surveillance, and digital forensics.The Prime Minister also called for stronger action against mob violence, juvenile gangs, and drug-related crimes.The Police Week 2026 programme will conclude on May 13.
